  1. 01

    Scoops Microcreamery

    Topsail Beach · ★4.7

The only real microcreamery on the island. Small batches made right here in Topsail Beach, which counts for a lot. The made-to-order waffle cones don't hurt either.

  2. 02

    Four Cousins Ice Cream

    Topsail Beach · ★4.7

A south-end walk-up with twenty-some homemade flavors that rotate all summer. The after-dinner ritual for half the families staying in Topsail Beach.

  3. 03

Bada Bing Italian Ice & Ice Cream

    North Topsail Beach · ★4.5

The standout sweet stop on the quiet north end. Hand-scooped Italian ice and ice cream, with ocean and sound views. The only North Topsail pick on the list.

  4. 04

    Sweet Alicious

    Surf City

Hershey's-flavor scoops, but the real draw is the mason jar milkshakes built for the camera. The glitter-topped Ferrero Rocher shake is practically a Surf City rite of passage.

  5. 05

    Hot Diggity Dogz

    Surf City · ★4.2

On the list for the soft serve and the brownie sundae. It's a cash-only hot dog stand across from the Surf City Pier, but the dessert window is the real reason to stop.
